CBD Location 1 month Contract-Potential Long Term Opportunities Government Sector Playing a critical role in the marketing and communications team you will assist your organisation in keeping the web sites content current and relevant, thus improving service delivery and engagement with this highly regarded employer. The primary focus of the role will be to monitor and manage all content on designated sites for accuracy and style, adherence to brand and style sheet/visual design guidelines and integrity of links. Key Responsibilities: - Manage production and ongoing maintenance of assigned website/websites using content management system.
- Create and manage innovative and compelling website and digital content to support key communications, marketing and community engagement initiatives.
- Manage link integrity across existing websites and other digital applications (ie, enewsletters).
- Assist work areas to review and improve existing online content and service delivery.
- Play a role in user acceptance testing for new software development.
Key Selection Criteria: - Substantial web production/development experience using content management systems (MS Office Sharepoint Server experience a distinct advantage)
- Good working knowledge of the internet, online services generally, Web 2.0 applications.
- Excellent computing, internet and written communications skills coupled with a good understanding of user-centred design principles, eg website usability, information architecture principles and conventions.
- Good working knowledge of WC3 Web Accessibility guidelines and demonstrated experience implementing web content accessibility fixes and work-arounds.
- Related tertiary qualification, proficiency in HTML, Adobe Photoshop and MS Word and familiarity with website analytics packages such as Google Analytics.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing online engagement strategies using social media sites and online collaborative tools (blogs, wikis etc).
