We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Product Analyst to join our National Product team. Reporting to the Manager, Pricing and Analysis, the successful candidate will have the ability to identify insurance portfolio trends, investigate specific areas of concern, develop practical recommendations and produce on-demand reports and analysis for the management team. As a Senior member of the team, this role will also see you supporting the Manager in the day to day running of the team and assisting with some supervisory duties. To be successful in this role you will: * Have the ability to provide objective and insightful advice on insurance portfolio trends using analytical and problem solving skills. * Demonstrate the ability to develop and plan analytic processes under minimal supervision, and to apply judgement in making and reviewing recommendations. * Enjoy working with others to coach, mentor and develop team members (good). * Have some previous team leadership or people management experience (either formally or informally). * Demonstrate excellence in both verbal and written communication in English. * Be able to develop & sustain relationships within the team and with stakeholders. * Be able to develop and sustain relationships within the team and with stakeholders. * Be able to plan and manage projects. * Be familiar with data analysis, extraction and management techniques for insurance portfolios. Ideally, you will have experience within general insurance and have the ability to write and review reports and have intermediate programming skills in SAS and Excel. The ability to work autonomously, solve problems with minimal supervision, make decisions and have the skill to identify opportunities to improve processes will be essential. The successful candidate will have completed a university degree with a strong mathematical or statistical component.
